Promotional Package

 


Our project was done, but now we had to engage the audience. Our promotional package consisted of four social media platforms. I handled TikTok while Instagram was assigned to Delisha. Abu Bakr dealt with Facebook while Bilal posted on twitter/X. These platforms helped us build a global audience for our project. On the other hand, if we used the traditional method,s that would have cost us a lot. Whereas on social media, viewers can engage in real time, and we were able to get feedback.

Tiktok

As stated previously i was responsible for managing TikTok. My plan for the app was to create videos showing different sides of the story while following the narrative that our project was trying to portray. I tried using a bunch of Lana Del Rey's own songs, but I also managed to use songs indicating heartbreak, betrayal, and even infidelity. While Instagram was more polished, in contrast, TikTok was rwa filled with emotions or even some playful tone in some posts. This was intentional to keep the audience hooked and in suspense for our actual project.
On tiktok we shared behind-the-scenes footage disguised in a storyline. Making it easier for the audience to grasp the narrative of each character. With introductions being posted, the audience is made familiar with the crew. I personally tried making it feel personal because then the audience is drawn and creates a connection with the creator.




Instagram

While TikTok was more focused on videos, Instagram was more post-driven, giving it a more polished looked now this was assigned to delisha and she made these posts on an app called Piscart. She kept it quite simple but still on our theme. The first grid post was to catch the attention of the viewers and prepare them for what was ahead. It was a collective effort, with Bilal making the teaser, Delisha making the grid posts, and me making the introductory videos.




In this, the background was set to full opacity for both images for the grid layout poster.  Delisha searched through the app's own stickers to find different things like the white border, and then ripped a piece of paper to add effect. She layered them and changed the opacity to make it blend better. For the poster, she only added the text and the red light effect, which was a sticker in the app. The blend mode was changed sequentially through soft light, tone, and color burn before being set to darken. The opacity of one of the layers was set to 87 in order for it to blend better.




X

Bilal made a teaser, and the editing process is depicted in two phases. If we talk about the first screenshot, Bilal worked on the topography, adding the title SALVATORE by adjusting the text properties. He ended up choosing the font "Bell MT" and set the font size to 54. He has also manually placed the text at 961 on the x-axis and 600.8 on the y-axis. He tried to keep the text precisely in the frame of the video or align it with certain visual elements within the video. 



In the second screenshot, he can be seen working on the timeline and editing the clips. He adjusted the playback settings of the sequence, reducing the original speed to 89.96% of the original speed. Bilal also selected an option for time interpolation. Which is Frame sampling in media involves selecting a subset of frames from a video, rather than processing every frame, to reduce data volume and computational load.




Facebook

Facebook is widely used worldwide, and it usually caters to older induviduals while we were able to mostly connect with Gen Z and Gen Alpha on TikTok and instagram that limited us. Therefore, we took to Facebook for our adbvantage it offers a highly efficient advertising system. Promoting a Facebook page increases brand visibility to over 3 billion active users, drives targeted traffic to websites, and boosts engagement, resulting in higher sales and better customer loyalty. It provides cost-effective, precise audience targeting and enables retargeting of interested potential consumers.


Abu Bakr handled Facebook. He made posters introducing the crew and their significance in our project. While he also posted the videos which are posted on the other platforms to reach out to every age bracket of our potential consumers.
